(5) Jabba the Hutt
Jabba the Hutt is a gangster on the planet Tatooine. He is originally seen in The Phantom Menace during the pod race scene. It is understood that the Hutts control the gambling that happens on the planet. In the original trilogy, Jabba the Hutt has put a bounty on the head of Han Solo because Solo dropped some of Hutts illegal cargo. In Empire Solo is caught by Darth Vader and the Empire after being trailed by Boba Fett. Fett brings Solo to Jabba in carbonite freeze.
(12) 4-LOM
4-LOM was original programmed to be a protocol droid which is why he resembles C-3PO. He overwrote his own programming and became a bounty hunter. He is one of the six that Darth Vader sends for to track down Han Solo in Empire.
So many cool characters (and some not-so-cool ones, like that old guy bounty hunter wrapped in bandages) that I wish we could have gotten to know better amongst the six films.
